Overview of Hybrid Creatures

Hybrid creatures are magical beasts that combine elements of multiple naturally occurring animal species or plants through out Syann. Some are so old and successful as to have become naturalized species in the wild such as the Hippogriff, Griffin and Hippocampus and others are short lived experiments who rarely survive beyond one generation.
  Many legends surround the creation of such creatures and most will say they are the offspring of some bored god or another but in truth the vast majority of these hybrid beasts are the result of magical influence by mortal spell casters. The first Hybrids undoubtable date back to the time of Dragons, however nearly ever age has seen the creation of such hybrid life and in many cases their successful continuation in the world.
