Orichalcum
Orichalcum created by lost alchemical & metallurgical arts Orichalcum is a warm red-gold metal that seems to glow with an inner radiance. Lighter then Gold but stronger then steel it never rusts and is a natural conductor for magical energy. Lost to the ages it can not reproduced by modern metallurgists though many revere it and refer to it as the Sovereign of all Alloys. Little is truly known of the metal and its properties given its rarity and many of its traits are considered the result of tall tales. These stories are enough though that when items made of it or even rarer Orichalcum Ingots are recovered they often sell for ludicrous prices if they are sold at all.
