Of all that was Hordain's great empire of undeath very little remains, three island nations each ruled by remnants of his once mighty realm that are forever at war with each other. Skull Island, Bluud Island and new Torvaria all vie for dominance among the Deathwrak isles.
The Isle of Skulls as it has become called since the Land Shatter is a heavily forested island ruled by a Lich known only as Jack. Once one of Hordains elite he now spends much of his unlife trying to discover more knowledge and power over undeath. Though the isle of Skulls is tainted by his dark arts he mostly allows the people to do as they wish so long as they do not deny any of his requests for new test subjects. In return Jack's creations and minions guard the people from the depredations of outsiders to their island.
The Illegitimate daughter of the famous Vampire Prince Avichi, Larisa spent most of her mortal Dhampir life in her father's shadow, even when she became a fullvampire she was given little acknowledgement. After the supposed death of her father (during the Land Shatter, and the destruction of the old nation nation of Torvaria) Larisa found herself in a new position of power. She rules Bluud island, a dark swampy isle amid the broken sea where vampire nobility use the commoners as cattle.
New Torvaria, once capitol of Hordains empire stands as a rocky island notable for the city-ruins of old Old Torvaria the grand necoropolis. It is a city that believes of all the Deathwrak isles that it remains truest to Hordains ideals. All gods are seen as slavers and death their ultimate tool of slavery. Undeath is a gift, immortality granted to the elite and worthy. While the lesser find their corpses animated to endlessly toil on the islands unforgiving rocky land. The island is ruled by a graveknight king and the most powerful necromancer among a cabal of powerful necromancers who refuse to pay homage to any god and just barely show any respect to Degara's high guilds to avoid their interference.
