Fey-Born Folk Overview

In eons long forgotten the first fey lords arose in their strange realm and would create the Fey-Born races as slaves and subjects to be ruled. All of the fey-born were designed with a purpose by the lords of the Fey each meant to fullfill a certain role. Immortal and after a sense eternal all of the Fey-Born would be reborn as new fey-born if their bodies were destroyed ensuring an eternity of servitude. Yet unlike their greater fey masters the Fey-Born had a spark of free will that urged them to act beyond their nature. Though very difficult for some fey-born slaves it was most evident in the SIdhe, Dweorg, Gobelin and Noum would all find paths that would lead them to abandoning the fey world and gaining true mortal souls possessed of free will.   The Seelie Courts would eventually grant their Fey-born freedom after they realized the fey-born were more then just constructs unable to act outside of their purpose and thus many fey-born who did not wish to be mortal or leave the fey realms can still be found populating the lands of that world. The Unseelie courts cared little if the Fey-Born were thinking feeling beings and still create and control their fey-born as slaves and tools to be used as they see fit. Thus a quiet war and a underground railroad has emerged between the free fey-born and the unwilling slaves of wicked fey lords. It is of note that some fey-born (often Sidhe) seem to care little if they are slaves to powerful fey lords as the freedoms and privilege's given to Sidhe often allow them to exert a great deal of power over non-fey and other fey-born races. Gobelin are also often quite content to be pawns of their dark lords and seem to relish operating the goblin markets. It is without a doubt the Dweorg and Noum who suffer the most under the rule of the Winter Court.   What makes the Fey-Born different from the mortal races that came from them is that they possess an immortal fey soul and more latent magical powers then their ancestors. They also often find it difficult to act beyond their purpose, while it is not unheard of most fey-born strugle to find an identity beyond what they were designed to do. Fey-Born who do still often find it difficult to escape their roles. For example Sidhe who become spell casters will often try and lead like minded organizations or else become witch queens or priest kings, Gobelin who became warriors often can not escape becoming shrewd mercenaries while Noum and Dweorg will find no matter what path they take artful craft and hard labor are never far beyond arms reach.
