Vesikol

The Vesikol, or death in the water, is a special method of execution used in the Rashor. First the victims lung is cut open with burning knives, then he is drowned in the salty water of The Blue Bay. While it was at first suggested by the priests of Uyor to combat the growing problem of The Cult of Nogrul, it now is used for almost all executions performed in the western town. It is believed that only this way the fire burning inside the cultist can truly be extinguished.
After the accused is drowned, his body is roped down and left in the water for three days before it finally gets burned outside of the town. While this method of execution seems to be effective, as no one ever returned from it, the small beach near the town where the ritual is performed is said to be cursed, as it carries a permanent smell of death and decay.
