Yin Fu Fold

The Yin Fu Fold is a very old, very powerful organization operating in China. Headed by the Yin family whose lineage can be traced back deep into the history of China. Their story begins over a thousand years ago with Da Yin, the Floating Lotus. A fearsome but honorable warrior said to responsible for otherworldly feats. He was said to a great man amongst his time, was a loving father, husband and generous lord as well.

  He had hoped to pass on his legacy to his children, but they were widely known to be bratty, entitled and exceptionally unkind. Lording there status over others wasn't uncommon or strange. But their cruelty for cruelties sake was unnatural, and as they got older it seemed none of them grew out of their ways. Da Yin, saddened, couldn't possibly leave his gifts to his children. He saw his own bloodline as completely unworthy, and they were becoming increasingly curious as to when he would chose his successor. He would often compliment the children of his servants on there work ethic. Thinking this would inspire his progeny to do better, but it only infuriated his kids.

  As he got up in age, his children made it clear they were going to take their fathers gifts. So he hid them away, and when they couldn't find them, they killed him in his sleep. That night all the servants fled, as they feared the untempered rage of the children of Da Yin. After searching their manor top to bottom and finding nothing, they realized it had to be taken by one of the servants. So they started their generational campaign of finding and punishing every servant they had.

  Over time they lost status as a noble family but found other ways to make money. They became a criminal organization, profiteering off of whatever they could. Hoping to eventually find their stolen inheritance, and to use it for whatever plans they'd cooked up over the years.
