Personal history
Daniel was born on a boat heading to New York in 1980. He grew up in New Jersey with a love for robotics that eventually led him to A.I. He excelled in school, skipped 8th grade and went straight to college.
After graduating he helped on projects ranging from multiple fortune 500 companies, the U.S. government and Nasa. He made enough money to fund his own experimentation in his custom built lab in Wisconsin. He had been pursuing true autonomy, but later changed to the transfer of consciousness. Which he was very close to achieving, he had already created the process to upload a conscious but wasn't confident enough to try it out.
His work was going smoothly until Wingknight dropped out of the sky outside of his lab. Daniel spent a few months teaching Wingknight about our world, and learning about his. That was cut short when his lab was attacked for both his research and an attempt to capture his new friend. Wingknight fought off the attackers but Daniel was gravely wounded. He attempted to upload his consciousness into robotic form inspired by the winged warrior. But the machine had taken a bit of a beating during the attack. Daniel's mind was uploaded but the computer couldn't fully capture his mind before it malfunctioned. The computer filled in the blanks as best it could, but it didn't go well. Daniels true intelligence only comes out in rare moments. The rest of the time it's hidden behind a fractured mind spilling out random facts, one liners, strange thoughts, unfiltered commentary, rude comments and 80s/90s pop culture trivia.
