Personal history
Jeremiah had always been able to piece things together, whether they were broken or not. His craftiness and ingenuity led to him to have his own own repair business by the time he was thirteen. He fixed home appliances, computers, phones and anything else people used on a frequent basis. He did so well he was nearly sued by various companies for not only repairing but vastly improving them. He had to shutter the business but by then he made enough to send himself to college.
When he got to college he got invited to a fraternity a few days after he unpacked. Without ever telling anyone, this group figured out he had powers. Then extended their invitation to be a permanent member of the Talented Tenth. Not wanting to just rely on his own powers, he built a suit to increase his abilities, and became Shock Web.
