S.A.M.
Origins
The origins of the S.A.M. organization date back to feudal Japan, when the farmers first challenged the samurai with knives and smoke bombs. Some of those men would go on to travel around Asia. Helping other lowborn people in similar situations fight back against oppression. Back then it was just a cause, no bigger than anyone else, helping the local populace. That group expanded over time, added more members and as the world got smaller, became more secretive.
Purpose Modern day S.A.M. agents don't only just protect local villages. They protect Asia as a whole, from outside and inner influence. Their agents are placed all over the globe collecting intel, sabotaging projects deemed to harmful, conveniently feeding private or expensive tech to struggling nations, or assassinating those who would cause multinational devastation. As an independent organization their freedom allows them to do more without redtape.
Success The success of S.A.M. agents is based entirely on their skills of impersonation. As agents often dress up in exceedingly well crafted disguises, but their mastery of mannerisms, knowledge of culture and language is what makes them hard to root out. Due to their goals and indiscriminate nature in how they achieve them. They have run afoul of groups on both sides of the law, heroes, villains, governments & criminal organizations.
