Pressure had a rough childhood, and it got worse in his teens. He lost close friends to gang violence, overdoses, jail, and the only friend he was proud to lose, he lost to dumb luck. The one friend was forced to leave to be in a nicer neighborhood with some relatives. He was incredibly depressed after that, and the powers he didn't know he had yet were tied to his emotions. The sadder he was, the more pressure he put on himself, sometimes he literally could not get out of bed.
By the time he learned how to use his powers, his body adjusted to the pressure, consistently being under an increased gravity field gave him the body of an olympian. Doing what others in his neighborhood did for quick cash, he started hitting licks and robbing banks. He fought whoever tried to stop him, hero or not. He was most active in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. In the 90's when he first tried a legal job, he worked as security for the Nation of Islam. When the controversy surrounding Ice Cube having anti-semitic lyrics flared up and the he was backed by the N.O.I., a meeting took place between a the A.D.L and the Nation. At some point in the meeting things got heated, and the Jitsu Jew was in attendance. It's rumored that him and Pressure came to blows in that meeting, but neither side has confirmed the validity or spoken of the outcome of any battle. But shortly after the matter was settled between Ice Cube and the jewish community.
When he was 20, he met his old friend who left the neighborhood, randomly in another state. He had some plans in the works and ran into him in a store. They both were into crime when they were young, his friend got away from the life and made something of his self. Pressure, ashamed, lied and said he did the same. It saddened him to lie like that, and they kept in touch after that meeting. He never revealed the truth about who he was, for years he just wanted to hang out with his friend like it was old times, not wanting to disappoint him. Eventually his friends influence made him retire from the villain game, he opened up a gym where he helped people train with an intense workout.
