Abigail grew up deep in West Virginia, where her family attended one the states famous snake handling churches. When she started showing her powers as a kid, her community hailed her as a gift from god. They toured her around as a product of their faith and persistence. This led her to have a false sense of righteousness about herself. Rejecting team ups with other heroes who she didn't feel was faithful enough.
She was very open with her beliefs; her faith, opinions, and politics were all fused together. When she was just locally known she was beloved. But when she became known nationally, she rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Many wanting her to not even come into their state, saying her patrol patterns were predatory. She has been sued multiple times for illegally detaining people she felt was guilty. In 2020 people still don't particularly like her in the cities, and she has been dubbed as "Super Karen".
