Personal history

Josephina kind of remembers having a family, but its only bits and pieces. Time has taken all the memories away by the time she was 10. She was sleeping on the streets and moving from shelter to shelter. But she still had that hope that kids carry so resiliently. She had a puppy that used to walk around the neighborhood, she tries to take care of it when it was around. After scrounging for food she saw some local idiots torturing her puppy, so she attacked them. They started to beat her to when Gridiron beat them to a pulp.

After that Gridiron tried to to find her family but nothing came up. So after some consideration, he adopted her. He took her in and trained her. Not to be a hero, just to defend herself so she'd always be safe. But as she got older and discovered that he used to be a hero, she naturally wanted to be one too. Gridiron tried to stop her, but she just kept going out anyway. So he just went all in with her, got her a suit and gadgets and off she went. The only thing he asked of her was to stick to street crime. The super powered maniacs can get to crazy, and he didn't want her involved with that.

But Josephina never could stop herself, she was still that little girl trying to save that puppy. So when she saw her chance to really make a difference she jumped in. She started running around with some heroes that dealt with some pretty dangerous folks. But she had proved herself many times over, and felt like she proved Gridiron wrong. But it all came crashing down during one of her fights. She got beat, it wasn't pretty and it didn't look good. She was put into a coma, and even when her body healed she wouldn't wake up. Gridiron called a few old friends to see if her mind was still there. She was, in her mind she was still living her life being a hero. But her body wouldn't react to anything, so she's kept alive, allowing her to live out her dream.
