Lincoln got very interested in robots as a kid, and his interest didn't die as he got older. He also had a temper to match his enthusiasm, which caused a few dust ups. While in college with a full scholarship he had a disagreement on a group project, he felt like one of the other students wasn't pulling his weight. When they started arguing Lincoln attacked his classmate and put him in the hospital. He was kicked out of school for that, and couldn't find another school to accept him.
He wanted to still work in the robotics field but he needed money, so he used his anger as a cash cow. He joined an underground no rules MMA fighting ring. He started taking MMA classes when he was young as an outlet for his anger but it didn't work, it just made him better at demolishing people. While fighting he became a champion, and was making good money until he was approached to take a fall. The money he'd get for losing wasn't as much as winner got, so he took the bribe and bet on himself.
He made a lot of money and enemies that night, they were going to kill him in the parking lot but Chuccles showed up and took them out. He hired him as a bodyguard for his place when he's not around before he knew he was interested in robotics. Then he was given a more direct role in helping Chuccles. He started working on some of the designs Chuccles created when he was to busy, and he fought alongside him as Knee Slapper.
