It can cause things like plants and crops to thrive, while also increasing the wearers luck. They can also convince others to make very selfish decisions no matter the actual consequences or chances of actually working.

Suraj was once a not so humble farmer, definitely wasn't good enough to brag. He was a very jealous man who often tried to steal or destroy his competitions best crops. Even if he somehow did come into a decent crop he was never happy with it. Suraj always had this need to impress by having the most but he never new how to actually get more. So when he was walking home one day, he saw this ridiculously overgrown farm that he never noticed before. He was furious, and without thought started ripping up the roots of everything he saw. Until he saw the gem, glowing in the middle of it.
When he snatched it he could feel his luck change, the power of the gem in his palm felt like a waterfall of coins flowing through it. He used the power to enrich himself and ruin others. While it was easy enough to make money with the gem, it didn't hurt to have even more coming from the companies that hired him. Plus the side effect of the gem allowing him to turn whatever he wanted into jade itself.
He was widely known and feared, if he can't buy or bribe his way out of a problem; his other options are less charitable. He'll either pay someone to get rid of you, do it himself, or just turn you into a statue. So with his short temper, he is definitely not someone to cross.
