Gaslighter

Henry was born a bastard son to a prince who was next in line to the throne. Being his first born, his mother assumed he would be taken care of and maybe she'd marry his father. But the prince denied it all, and banned her from ever coming within 10 miles of the castle. But Henry's mother would not go quietly, and would tell anyone who'd listen that the prince was the father. But she was always ignored and made fun of.

When Henry got older he no longer believed it himself. Thinking his mother truly was crazy, he decided to get on with his life, and stop pining over what life he could've led and start living the life he had left. He spent so much time using his telepathy to make people treat her normally he was exhausted most days. But she couldn't let it go, not after this long, it was all she had left, and she didn't want to leave her son with less than when she started the campaign. So when that prince became king, she started it again at full fervor, even getting her sons face on television. When people saw him and the resemblance, people started thinking maybe she wasn't so crazy. Within a couple days she disappeared and no one ever saw her again.

At her funeral, because he had to assume she'd been killed. He thought why after all this time would someone do something, and if she was lying why do anything at all. Realizing the truth, he decided to go after the king and hopefully find his mother. But if not he'd settle for the throne, he managed to get quite far in his plan. He was causing problems in the kingdom and a bounty was out for his arrest. This was part of his plan though, to distract everyone to focus on him and let someone else do the work. But the day before he was ready to kill the king he was betrayed by one of his men and captured. He'd later escape and flee the country, ending up in Canada where he was approached by Nu-Divus who knew exactly who he was. He was offered protection and a spot on their team. He's known during the day as the hero Peacemaker, other times known as Gaslighter. The other team members jokingly call him monarch.
