His powers come the reality and harsh truth of america's role in the world. He gets stronger as more of the world comes to grip the reality of America, and gets weaker when they start believing in it's ideals.

Anthony grew up in Carson, Ca and hated it. Carson was small and didn't have much to do so he spent whatever time he could getting out of the city. When he able he started playing rugby and football, his size let him push around other kids without much trouble. He also loved the sound people made when he knocked the wind out of them. Just before he got to high school he joined a gang, and eventually got into more and more trouble.

When he was 18 his parents gave him two options, he either moved to Alaska with their cousins or join the military to straighten himself out. They didn't think he would ever leave the gang if he stayed their so he had to choose. He hated the cold so he joined the navy, he figured it'd be easy anyway since he already knew how to shoot. Much to his surprise it actually did straighten him out, he just needed a bigger picture to focus on. He became very patriotic and loved the friends he made there. Some of the places he saw made him very glad he grew up in America.

His superior officers saw how dedicated he was and let him become a seal. They would often give him extra tasks on certain missions to complete without the knowledge of his unit. He never failed a single one, he became somewhat infamous unbeknownst to the other seals. He became fast friends with one of the other seals, and the duo got ambushed one day. Anthony knew they were gunning for him specifically, but when his friend got shot as well he developed a strong hatred for the enemies of America.

  He didn't see his actions as the cause of this situation, he framed it as his friend who just got hurt in the line of duty. He only saw the collateral damage the enemies of America could inflict should they succeed. He saw the angry mob cheering for his death before he passed out. He woke up in a hospital not far from where they were attacked, he was completely healed and felt stronger before. He was approached by Red Snapper, who offered a chance at being proactive against the threats of America. Anthony gladly accepted the role.
