Ruby's Birthday

A/n: This whole thing is going to be from me, because Ruby Gray doesn't really like talking about her birthday celebrations.
First of all, the actual day was a bit of a guess. She lost all her memories at age 6 so she had to make something up. She was smart enough she probably could have calculated the exact day based on telomeres or something like that, but she didn't. She picked an arbitrary day and that was that.
She always celebrated the same way, every year. She'd create a new false ID, making it as complete as she had time to do in the day. Passports, background details, online presence, the works. As time went on, she'd update them as necessary.
She'd always ask for a decorated vanilla cake from Grace Suthmeer, with no other details. My mom would get pretty wild with the decorations, and Ruby would use whatever theme she picked as a detail in the ID she was creating.
My dad Martin Suthmeer was responsible for buying the present. Again, it didn't have to have much to do with Ruby, because it would inform some element of the ID.
Even though she knows her real birthday now (and celebrates accordingly, on that day, with her family and friends), she still celebrates her "birthday." Always a new ID, and always carefully crafted so she could use it if she wanted to.
It means something different now. Before, it was almost a way to rebuild herself again if she ever needed to. Now, it's a kind of celebration of her criminal history.
It's a little funny, actually, since Chelsea Onager would have an absolute fit if she knew the sheer backlog of false IDs that her daughter has amassed.
