Mertasa Accelus
I hate this car. I hate it so, so much. It's the worst.
A/n: She really does. She's been known to derail whole escape attempts just so that she didn't have to use one as an escape vehicle. Which is very funny to me since it's not even that bad of a car. She just has a grudge against Mertasa as a company and loathes the fact that they've been able to get their product that hyped up.
The hype around it is the worst part of the whole thing. Mertasa was a nothing company until a few years ago when they "perfected" an "energy-efficient" drive system that was supposed to "revolutionize how cars are made." The Accelus is supposed to be the "revolutionary" enhancement on that original design.
And yet, somehow, it's still just a car. It even looks pretty much like just a car. They did the usual touches that car manufacturers do to make something feel slightly different, but to those who don't know the only thing that makes it stand out is the logo. For some people, that's enough.
The vaunted engine itself is practically a scam. Their original engine's main thing was that it used a proprietary fuel blend that was meant to be more environmentally friendly than gas, and gave off better emissions. It does. Technically. The only problem is that the process for making the fuel is absolutely abhorrent and way worse than anything an oil company could do.
But nevertheless, we have the Accelus, and it's the "next big thing." The marketing campaign alone is enough to give you nightmares. They didn't have to have the latest catchy song licensed exclusively for their car, but they did, among several other miserable features.
I'm sorry, did you want a description of the vehicle itself? It's a four door SUV. I'm sure you can picture one.
