Genetics Manifesto
Written using the blood of the people involved, the Genetics Manifesto is a call from the organization that publicly calls itself Pinnacle and privately the Epoch Society. With Pinnacle being the political arm of the movement, the manifesto is probably the closest we'll get to knowing their true motives.
Their ideals seem fine on the surface of it. As one might expect, they espouse a lot about equality and making sure there is a level playing field for everything from jobs to relationships. That's fine.
Then you read a little further and find the details about how the best way to achieve this is to disable the Enhanced. They don't state exactly how they think this should be achieved, but the underlying suggestion is some kind of lobotomy, which is about the dumbest way of doing it that I could think of. First of all, a good 60% of powers have a muscular or hormonal component, or basically anything not tied to the brain. Second of all, even for those powers tied specifically to the brain, removing part of the control function of those powers does not lead to a loss of power but rather a loss of control. In some instances, it can even make people more powerful.
Once you get past the insane ramifications of their version of equality, you get into the parts about how to lift up those without powers. While the movement itself directs these efforts more judiciously towards those they like or who have the "best qualifications" or whatever exclusive nonsense they want to use, the language in the manifesto states that the ability to have powers should be made open to everyone. In essence, that everyone should have the chance to be a Superhero.
