Annual Celebration of Tibbit's "Birthday"

Ahh, spring. A time of renewal and green things, of baby animals and rain showers and warmer weather. Also a time for celebrating the renewal of one of my favorite creations.   Tibbit is a rabbit created to mess with Marvin. He offended the Chaos Coalition once and now one of the initiation traditions is Robbing Champion Financial Group where he works. Tibbit was meant to burrow into the building and destroy things. Instead she teleports around and causes chaos simply by existing. They've spent so much money on exterminators and it just never works. I'm so proud of her.   Of course, she also is a rabbit, with a rabbit's lifespan. Sort of. Modified.   E/N: Most rabbits live 5 to 12 years, with no weird annual regeneration cycle. There is nothing normal about Tibbit. At least she's a sweetheart.   She's something like a phoenix, actually. Every year she undergoes a period of rapid aging and then has to undergo a kind of regeneration process. It's super gross and makes a massive amount of mess. Naturally, I always make sure that she does it in Marvin's office. If he's out of the country and not going to see it before it gets cleaned up, I usually direct Tibbit to the vaults.   Once Tibbit's renewal is done with, I snag her and we go get cake. She gets this carrot-oatmeal-banana lump that the veterinarian recommended. Everyone else gets normal carrot cake with cream cheese icing.   After that there's an egg hunt. Sometimes I mix in a few of the colorful plastic ones and put candy inside, but it's mostly just hunting down Tibbit's actual eggs that she lays. I don't know why this happens. It's not like she has a male counterpart who can fertilize her eggs, but just to be safe I try to collect them and dispose of them. Why not make a game of it?
