Taivalin

Taivalin are those with a Celestial heritage. Descended or blessed by a higher power, Taivalin usually manifest some kind of divine trait such as unusual eyes or a halo. These are sometimes present but the physical trait that nearly all Taivalin share is their blood, which is silver in color. They are sometimes given the nickname Silverbloods because of this. Taivalin are generally rare but a group called The Elect have founded the nation of Kalan in eastern Selanden and claim to have escaped the fall of the Gladrion Empire.

Taivalin are strictly not part of the traditional Divine Hand cosmology, but many Divine Hand adherents are accepting of them and tend to associate them as a variant of Human. Taivalin tend to live as long as most Humans but some have been known to live over a century up to 120 years.

Playing a Taivalin

Born with a celestial spark, Taivalin are seen as portents of the divine, usually inspiring awe and trust. While many uphold these expectations through noble actions, others may exploit the faith placed in them. A Tavalin is often driven by a clear mission or moral code. In contrast, a Tavalin playing against type might use their celestial heritage to deceive others, masterfully ignoring their inherent conscience, or wandering aimlessly, devoid of purpose or divine calling.

Anatomy

Taivalin have a general physicality of the average human. Some have celestial-like features such a hint of a halo, and some have unsual eyes that are bright colors. Another physical features that nearly all Taivalin share is that they have silver blood.
