Appearance

Lean and wiry, with a soldier’s posture and a preacher’s intensity.

Pale skin kissed red by sun and flame, short copper-blond hair, eyes a bright smoldering amber — possibly due to deep resonance with his Arkanite.

His armor is unfinished full-plate, gilded at the edges but clearly only partially consecrated. Most of it is well-kept mail with sigil-burned bracers and chestplate, radiating warmth.

Cloak is a scorched crimson marked with the Ordo’s flame-insignia and his personal motto stitched in Old Imperial:

“Through ash, absolution.”

Personality

Zealous. Young. Brilliant. Dangerous.
Caelen is a firebrand in both word and action — the kind who believes righteousness is best proven with steel and flame. Born in the Ordo cloisters on the mainland, he was relocated to Atilmoore at age 16 when he “accidentally” set fire to a relic vault during his Rite of Reflection.

He loathes pirates and relic-brokers, calling them “vultures dressed in salt and lies.” He’s led three sanctioned raids on illegal relic markets in Vaelport already, the last one turning bloody when he invoked an unsanctioned purge rite.

He sees his Arkanite crystals as sacred—vessels of divine order—and treats them with reverence. Every use is preceded by whispered prayers.

Deeply loyal to the Ordo, particularly Inquisitor-Vigil Elarien Vorsk, who sees potential in his zeal (but worries about his volatility).

He fears corruption, both magical and moral. Some whisper he sees heresy where there is none, and that his obsession borders on fanatical paranoia.

Beliefs & Goals

Belief: “Only through flame may the old sins be cleansed.”

Mission: Cleanse the Isles of illegal relic users, corrupted ruins, and any native sects (like the Shattered Halo) that dabble in forbidden arts.

Ambition: To become a Warden by age 25 and oversee his own Purge Fleet.

Private Fear: That his fire will turn on the innocent—and that he'll lose control, like his mentor once did

Notable Moment

On his 18th name-day, Caelen fought a corrupted revenant from the Vault of Eyes bare-handed for twelve minutes after his Arkanite blade shattered. When reinforcements arrived, they found him atop the ruin’s altar, shirtless, burned, and victorious — having seared a purification sigil into his own arm to banish the creature.
