Tower of Bliss

One of the most iconic buildings of the empire, this temple is known to anyone, even to those who have never been there. It is the tallest man made structure so far and it is supposed to include over ten thousand steps in total. There are shrines and statues to each floor representing different patrons and dieties and the purpose of building this temple was to house all of them.   Statues and prayer rooms are ordered after their importance, with the oldest and most powerful dieties at the top. The roof of the complex is topped with the statue of the heavenly emperor as a symbol that only immortals may stand before him and ask his request. If you do wish to petition with the divinity itself, not only do you have to climb all of the stairs to the top but your only choice is to stand under the central point of the roof and righ a small bell to announce your presence before you voice your requests. Only the artisans who have been tasked with making the statue were able to see it in all of its glory, before it was mounted on top. (And rumours have it that it was the last thing they ever saw.)   Temple of bliss is the most sacred monument and it is the object of pilgrimages of those who have run out of options and prayers in their life and are seeking a solution to complex life problems. Priests who reside in this tower are said to be the wisest and most knowledgable of all when it concerns the earthly and heavenly matters alike.   If you feel like you have run out of options this is the last place where you might still find a solution to your problems.

Thank you for reading my world!

I used Summer Camp this year to generate new ideas that I can explore and play around with in the months to come. All of my articles are first drafts, little sketches that need further development.
