Seal of Purity
The Tao religion is considered to be the oldest and most sacred teaching in the empire and it is the most influential religion to this day. The tennants of this religion are said to be inscribed on the massive jade seal of the heavenly emperor that presides over all of the gods and a copy of such seal is supposed to be somewhere hidden on earth as well. Some people presume it is hidden within the royal treasury and it serves as a proof that the current ruling dynasty is indeed the continuation of the divine line on earth, while others are opposing that the seal was lost during the last siege of the previous capital city and has since been missing. This narrative is of course mostly pushed by the people who are opposing the current regime and you should not really repeat their words anywhere in public if you do like to keep your wits (and your head) about you.
Seal of Purity is a massive cube of jade with intricate carved inscriptions all over its walls explaining the most important rules of the universe and how every celestial body has its place and purpose from which it must not deviate or else the entire world will be thrown of ballance and thrust into eternal chaos. This sentiment although explained in much more details, serves as the basis of the main religion that is preaching against people trying to escape their fate and try to change their circumstance by force, they can only follow what the universe has in line with them or else they will be met with chaos and suffering. That is the eternal law.
The final wall of the jade cube has the inscription "and so is the will of gods and the emperor" and is meant to be used to seal documents.
Thank you for reading my world!
I used Summer Camp this year to generate new ideas that I can explore and play around with in the months to come. All of my articles are first drafts, little sketches that need further development.
