New Imperial Palace
When the idea came that it is about time to change the capital of the country and show the northern regions that the empire is not one to be triffled with, the emperor and his consorts had to find a new place to settle. The new imperial palace is very different from the royal residences of the past, mostly because it had been not built, but carved out into a mountain. Works on it continue to this very days and new tunnels, halls, rooms and structures are being added into this impressive show of humant talent and splendour.
One would think that the time where people resided in caves is long past, but this new architect approach to the show of power of the divine dynasty, moving the residence of the royals as close to the heavens as possible in this region has proven to be absolutely outstanding. Many can gaze upon the imperial palace from the distance, as it looms with its glittering golden roofs above everything else as a constant reminder that only ones chosen by gods may enter and live there. And only those who are the best in their professions may enter for an audience or a particular tasks that is too laborious to be performed by the nobles. Many dream about venturing there at least once in their life, but only a fraction ever makes it beyond the gates.
The current emperor is obsessed with making his residence the marvel of technology and inventivness, adding new features of conform or security to anywhere that is possible. A lot of resources from the treasury have been used for this and it seems like many more will be used still. Who knows how long this monument of this dynasty will be growing in front of everyone's eyes. And if it will trully be able to stand the test of time.
Thank you for reading my world!
I used Summer Camp this year to generate new ideas that I can explore and play around with in the months to come. All of my articles are first drafts, little sketches that need further development.
