Aircrafters

Having a talent for magic is rare, having a talent for aircrafting is rarer. And even if you manage to find enough aircrafters to form a one single unit, now you have to train them to be actually useful. But when you do have a unit of actual, trained, fully formed and reformed aircrafters, it is said your army might just become unstoppable.   Aircrafting is a specific type of magic that does what it says in the title - wizards are able to craft things out of thin air and in the field they are mostly known for producing mist where it should not be, have random clouds of rain descend on the enemy, sending confusing enchanting whispers luring soldiers away in the most critical moment and confusing their progress.   The highest peak of this particular art of magic is the ability for the crafter themselves to tranform into a puff of smoke and go from place to place unnoticed, being able to conceil things with their body while their body is immune to all swords and arrows because there is simply no way how to make a cloud bleed. If you slash into it it will just poof around it and reform into its original misty self, before the crafter makes it into safety to actually reform back into their human body.   It is absolute no wonder just a handful of these could sew absolute chaos into the battlefield even if you do not use them for intel and scouting ahead of the battle. The only real downside is that they are incredibly hard to train and come by and not everyone with the affinity for air will ever be able to fully transform and retransform themselves over and over and over again. And there are simply too many wars to wage and so little time to strike.

Thank you for reading my world!

I used Summer Camp this year to generate new ideas that I can explore and play around with in the months to come. All of my articles are first drafts, little sketches that need further development.
