Wizards

The best known of casters, forever subject to the belief of many common folk that anyone who can cast arcane-looking magic who isn't wearing the symbol of a god or carrying a lute must be a wizard. Among those who know the difference between wizards and other casters, wizards have something of a reputation from snobbery, due to the vast amounts of wealth required to expand a wizard's repertoire, and the long years of study required to excel in this area. Though a certain matter of natural talent is required to excel at wizardry, the bulk of a wizard's development comes down to hard work and, admittedly, a certain amount of opportunity. Those with experience with wizards may also comment on their tendency towards great deals of hubris, not that the followers of any allegedly mad mages in Barovia know anything about that...   Renown: 9/10
