The Waterdeep News is one of the Waterdeep's many periodical newspapers, known for covering a range of subjects from current events to society to arts, culture, and more! As a daily newspaper, the News often reports on relatively minor events, along with larger stories.
The Society section of the News has something of a reputation for being predictably frivolous and a little gossipy. Primarily concerned with the affairs of nobles, and fairly accused of never publishing anything the city's more powerful nobles wouldn't want published, the section also discusses other prominent figures, such as those few adventurers who have managed to distinguish themselves in a city sick with them.

A prominent author in the Society section as of early 1495, Pellinore excels at writing gossip pieces, often covering dramatic love stories as well as eligible bachelors and bachelorettes for the city to swoon over. They tend to favour a good story over an accurate one, though they've demonstrated a remarkable ability to unearth information about their subjects here and there.
