See also: Blood Hunters   Blood hunters are among the most obscure of adventurers, and that is at least in some part intentional. Almost every blood hunter belongs to a blood hunter order; those who aren't are often hunted by their order-bound companions, for fear of what they might use their power for if left unchecked. Due to the general public disapproval of blood magic, the secrecy of blood hunter rites, and the fact that to undergo the Hunter's Bane is to fundamentally alter your nature in ways many people would find horrifying, blood hunter orders tend to operate in relative secrecy, and individual blood hunters tend not to advertise the nature of their gifts too casually. In cities such as Waterdeep, undergoing strange blood magic rituals would raise relatively few eyebrows, but in smaller communities, casually invoking blood magic is a great way to get run out of town. Despite the secrecy of blood hunter rites and common disapproval of their principles, most blood hunter orders act as an invaluable tool against evil across and beyond Faerun; their rites come with great benefits, and the training of most orders produces exceptional warriors.   Renown: 1/10
