Bards

Bards, bards, bards. Either the most maligned or the most beloved of all adventurer types depending on who you ask, there's no denying that people tend to have strong feelings about bards, and that just about everyone has heard of bards — as if they'd allow anything less. Though the stereotype of the lute-strumming loverboy serenading someone's pretty wife from beneath her balcony in the middle of the night is well known, bards can employ their magical talents through a variety of modes, with many bards making their living as authors and storytellers, dancers, visual artists, actors, and more. They are, whatever else their detractors might say about them, exceptionally versatile, with a broad grasp of the magical arts that few can rival. Despite common misconceptions, not every famous artist or author is a bard; indeed, despite repeated accusations to the contrary, Volothamp Geddarm is in fact a wizard.   Renown: 9/10
