Alleghander
The alleghander is a species of hellbender-like salamander amphibious creature that lives in rivers, swamps, wetlands, creeks, and ponds throughout Orcli's wetter hwells. They are usually small, found in small or temporary bodies of water, but if conditions are right, they can reach giant sizes, to that of a panther or alligator. The alleghander at this size are feared predators due to their silent hunting style, nearly-invisible appearance, and its lighting-fast attacking movements. Larger specimens lose the ability to cloak themselves and develop bumpy skin - these are typically distinguished by being called "giant alleghander" and are more of a whale-like predator rather than a wolf-like predator. Alleghander mucous is prized for its magical properties, used in invisibility potions and silencing sprays and serums.
