Cedrick Holland
Summary
Cedrick is a a young botanist working through his doctorate at Bailen University. Cedrick has published many papers on the botany of flowering plants and has a few patents (primarily with Erick Dahl) for particular plant inventions. He is very vocal in his support of the panpsychist movement, and is an affirmed vegetarian, freethinker, and anti-militarism advocate. He has joined several student peace/panpsychist organizations, and even started one within the Botanicum, where he is a respected mind among the up and coming younger generation. Objectively brilliant, Holland has shot himself in the foot with his vocal philosophical beliefs, making him an “undesirable” to both the investors and the scientists who could help advance his career and standing within the science world. His ability to rally young minds around his ideas has also earned him some negative attention from people in power. That said, he doesn’t have the platform to make him an actual threat, so his enemies have been able to marginalize him by just ignoring him. His family largely hopes that his career trajectory will carry him beyond his faddish youthful radicalism.
