Little Nicky

Vincent's best friend and Touchstone, and the get-away-driver and networker when they worked together as gangsters.

Appearance

Thin and wiry. Nicholas is not so much unfit, but rather has body built for speed. Built up through years of running from police or other gangsters.

Personality

Witty and charming. He is the life at a party ready to start a friendly drinking game, then immediately start giving out business cards when the games are over and small talk resumes. Growing up poor and forced to make hard choices all his life Little Nicky is an opportunist at heart and isn't above exploitation if it gets him ahead in life. The exception to this are those he considers family. By blood or friendship. People he knows has his back when he needs them (or otherwise deserves better from him). Such people, that being his parents, his best friend Vincent Cole and his best friend's little sister Vanessa Cole, he would never think of taking advantage of. Instead he is ready to help them at a moment's notice, whatever they need.

History

Born Nicholas Myers. Together with his best friend Vincent Cole "Little Nicky" as he became known as amongst Boston gangsters grew up in a poor environment, with plenty of crime. Never one to let life put him down he joined up with a gang at the young age of eleven, working his way up from courier-kid and look-out to proper gangster. He became quite proficient as a get-away-driver and networker, supplimenting those skills with Vincent's skills as the on-the-ground fixer, pistol and lockpicks in hand getting the job done before Nicky got them out before the cops started sniffing, and unto the next job.

In 2012 his life in Boston was pulled out from under him as Vincent ended up in trouble with the Hijós de Ruíz begged him to take his sister Vanessa away from Boston and keep her safe. Using the last of his remaining contacts in Boston he sent word to Vincent that he and Vanessa had landed in New York, even though Vincent had asked to cut him out of Nicky's and Vanessa's life. Believing Vincent should at least know where to look if the situation with the Hijós de Ruíz got better.
Though Nicky had spent a decade and a half building up his reputation and contacts in Boston, he dropped everything for his best friend and took his sister to New York City. Where he sent her to an orphanage in Staten Island. Keeping in contact with her until she was adopted by a rich couple in 2017; all the while and the years since building himself back up from scratch.

Relationships

Vincent Cole

Nicholas' best friend and partner in crime. They were literally thick as thieves, and each others' confidants when they needed "a bro" they could talk to. As rarely as they visited each others' homes, they were both well liked by each others' families. Vincent seen by the Myers as much of a son as Nicky, and Nicky seen by the Coles as much a son as Vincent was.
Though shocked by the sudden, unannounced appearance of his long lost best friend. Nicky welcomed Vincent with open arms. Ready to help at the drop of a hat.

Vanessa Cole

His best friend's little sister. He took her as his ward at Vincent's request. He quickly dropped her off at an orphanage in Staten Island, but kept up contact to make sure she was alright.
