Chela Prime is the primary settled location within the Chela Star System, which consists mostly of asteroid fields. It is part of the Dominion of the Polympian Empire and plays a modest role in the constellation’s resource extraction industry. The system has limited trade connections due to its small population and lack of habitable planets, but it does maintain commerce with Vardos Prime.

Due to the vacuum environment, there are stringent safety protocols, and firearms are largely prohibited except for shotguns used in rare cases of boarding defense or pest control. The inhabitants of Chela are known for their rugged, frontier lifestyle, living and working in dangerous conditions within the asteroid belt. Community is essential, and most inhabitants rely heavily on each other for survival in the harsh vacuum.Economy
Chela's economy is centered around resource extraction from the asteroid belt, primarily mining metals and minerals essential to the Dominion’s industrial sectors. While the population is small, the system's Class C starport handles steady cargo traffic, as ships come to transport raw materials to larger, more populous systems like Cepha Prime. Technology levels are modest (Tech Level 8), sufficient for advanced mining operations but lacking the high-tech infrastructure of core worlds.History
Like the rest of the Scorpio Constellation, Chela was once under the control of the Scorpio-Imperii house during the Galactic Empire’s era. After the collapse of the empire, the system became part of the Dominion of the Polympian Empire. Historically, Chela has been little more than a resource hub, with its role continuing to focus on mining and providing raw materials to support the greater Dominion.
