Apollo Prime
Apollo System
The Apollo System orbits a bright, stable G-type star and contains six planets, none of which are gas giants. Apollo I is a scorched, barren rock with no atmosphere. Apollo II is a cratered silicate world with automated mining rigs and scattered domes. Apollo Prime is the third planet and the only inhabited one, lying comfortably in the habitable zone. Apollo IV is a cold terrestrial world with a thin atmosphere and sealed terraforming sites. Apollo V is a dark, carbon-rich planet with high-altitude chemical harvesting platforms. Apollo VI is an airless iceball with deep fault lines and small orbital research stations. A narrow asteroid belt between Apollo II and Apollo Prime hosts automated mining drones and system defense buoys.Main World: Apollo Prime
Classification: Terrestrial, Agri-worldAtmosphere: Breathable
Population: Human Dominated
Apollo Prime, also known as "home of a million lakes," is a fertile, habitable world renowned for its countless lakes and sprawling green landscapes. Made of a single world-spanning landmass of mountains and rolling plains, it is broken up by countless lakes and inland seas in various sizes, many connected by rivers and streams. These beautiful and fertile lands surround the two polar ice caps. The world experiences a stable climate with mild seasonal shifts and rich soil, making it ideal for agriculture and supporting an abundance of life. Native flora is dominated by layered forests, rolling grasslands, and flowering wetlands, while native fauna ranges from small grazing herds to apex predators. Among the planet’s iconic native lifeforms is the Phoenix Eagle, a large and majestic bird known for its striking plumage and powerful flight. These eagles hold a near-mythic status among locals, often seen soaring over the lakes and forests. The Apollo Fire Lily, a perennial flower with bright orange and red petals, blooms in spring and is considered a symbol of luck and protection across the planet. Apollo Prime’s wealth lies in its natural abundance. Fertile lands, lakes, and seas have allowed the world to develop a powerful agricultural economy, with food products forming the bulk of its exports. Mineral deposits scattered across the planet support a growing manufacturing sector, particularly in food processing, light industry, and precision fabrication. The lakes and rivers provide hydroelectric power, clean drinking water, and refined spaceship fuel, ensuring the world remains self-sufficient and energy-rich. This combination of natural resources has made Apollo Prime not only a breadbasket of the Dominion but also a symbol of prosperity. Considered a jewel of the Dominion, Apollo Prime traditionally serves as the "school" fiefdom for the crown-prince. intended to help him gain the management and political skills necessary to one day rule an empire. While often absent due to duties elsewhere, the crown-prince still influences planetary affairs. Day-to-day administration is entrusted to trusted advisors, sparking fierce competition among Dominion noble houses eager to secure these prestigious roles. Rivalries between noble families such as the Montagues, Von Royce, and Von Taxis are a common feature of Apollo Prime’s elite political life. The planet remains a peaceful and prosperous world, yet beneath its beauty is a world shaped by ambition, cut-throat political manoeuvring, and intrigue.

History
The planet of Apollo Prime is home to a rich and diverse population of mostly humans, who have lived on the world for centuries. It is a world of plenty, blessed with natural resources, fertile lands, and countless lakes. This abundance has enabled the population to develop a prosperous economy based on agriculture, manufacturing, and energy production serving as a bread basket for the Dominion.
Traditionally the world is considered a fief for the crown-prince of the Dominion, serving as a good place to learn the administration and political skills required to later run an empire. though with the crown-prince often being required to precent else where in the empire, the worlds day-to-day administration is often entrusted to one of his close advisors. the opportunity to gain a lot of prestige, influence and power by both advising the crown-prince and being close with the imperial throne combined with the opportunity to rule over the world, leads to lot of cut-throat political manoeuvrers among the nobility of the Dominion seeking to gain advisory positions. even among the families that already hold advisory positions such as the Montagues, Von Royce and the Von Taxis there is alot of rivalries.
