Raverius is the western nation of Paradenia, segregated by a range of mountains. The capitol is off the coast and is the central hub od magical lore and law. All magewrights and wizards come to Raverius under law to learn magic and how to apply its use in everyday life for the better of civilization.
Where Law is Defined
It is under law that all any individuals who have the capacity to use magic to undergo studies through the Collegium. The Collegium is an arcane college of wizards, sorcerers, warlocks to ensure peace in and understanding in the realm. Every nation must send people who are arcanely gifted to the Collegium or face penalties.
Every nation has different laws to this accord. Buulta sends children to the collegium at very young ages, while the Seven Springs are much looser in their law, demanding mandatory enrollment by the age of sixteen.
...Where All Mimics Go
Raverius culture is very traditional and there is very few machines or technology in the capitol as it relies on magical items, and mimics. Where it would be common to see cars on the street in Buulta, there are Mimic-Carriages to take people to and from their destinations.
In fact, the entire city is composed of a variety of mimics! The inn you stay in, the cutlery you use to eat, and the signs you read could very well be mimics. Raverius is first and foremost known to be the capitol of magical law but is infamous to be a mimic-colony. There is diverse range of races that reside in Raverius, Humans, firbolgs, half-elves and more.
Keepers of the Peace
The Paladin corp is known to be located within Raverius as well. The Paladin corp is a divine military organization, particularly focused on slaying outer-world beings, hunting rogue arcanists who refuse the collegium, and protecting the peace of the land above and below. While there aren’t many paladins, there presence and strength alone make them reputable.
Defenders of the Innocent
The church of the Silver Flame is religious organization that accumulated their own land outside the capitol of Raverius. They’re known for their past actions as being zealots and were a driving force of nearly wiping out Shifters, mistaking them to be the same as lycanthropes. Since that incident, they’ve accumulated into the Clergy, but in the year 750, they had dissected from the clergy as an independent organization once more.Sparks of Rebellion
In the year 751, Raverius fell into a civil war. The extremist Magic-freedom group known as the Emerald Claw has attacked the Collegium, plunging the nation into arcane warfare.
