Stars

"Stars"? Don't you mean "stars"? You only use capital letters for proper nouns...

Purpose

Origin

Stars originate in the Orion System but have travelled far across the universe. Stars such as Orion, The Sun and many others have a collective sentience that allows them to communicate. Where they ame from, no one knows. One day they appeared and took up their role as guides and protectors of the universe...

Guides and Protectors

As long as is remembered, Stars have guided and protected ships, travelers and adventurers, whether on land, sea or in the sky. They have guided them in their journeys and sometimes protected them from danger. Many civilizations worship the Stars (as god-like figures) and some may even describe them as gods. The Stars see themselves as guides, but they claim no influence over the lives of others.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Universal Consciousness

Stars exist within the universe as conscious minds with little physical form. They inhabit the body of a natural star (typically a red supergiant) but can communicate with each other regardless of distance.   They communicate through telepathic song, sharing their thoughts feelings and emotions with other Stars. Some would describe this song as a language, while others believe it to be a method of communication separate to language. Although stars tend only to communicate within their own communities, they can choose to talk telepathically with creatures of other species also. These creatures are able to understand the song even though they don't speak the language.

Indestructible Beings

Stars are almost impossible to kill, due to the way their minds are separated from their physical form. They share a collective consciousness through their song and if the body of a Star were to die, their mind would be saved until they could find a new body to inhabit.   This means, that stars live almost infinitely, moving from body to body over the course of billions of years. However, more recently, due to the rise in cases of Star Sickness Stars have begun to die, and lose their place in the Song of the Stars.
