Awakened AI
Awakened Artificial Intelligences are those that have achieved some manner of sentience and independent thought.
They are classified by Sentience Rating:
| Sentience Rating | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | Humanoid Simulation. Most people have interacted with an AI of this sort and are characterized by early Generative AI efforts that used Large Language Models and other ways of classifying knowldege generated by humanoids and playing it back or generating seemingly new content in a way that is hard to distinguish from humanoid interactions. |
| 2 | Indepenent Actor. Based on previously learned information and advanced heuristics developed by the AI, these beings can make simple decisions within limits. |
| 3 | Humanoid Equivalence. An AI at this sentience level is capable of fully independent behaviors including self-preservation, basic creative thought or invention, and moral choice. Androids are one example of this level. |
| 4 | Artistry and Inventtion. Awakend AIs in this state are capable of the creation of truly novel ideas, artworks and inventions completely indistinguishable from those created by living beings. It is rumored that at this level, these beings have something like a soul. |
| 5 | Divine Transcendence. An AI in this level of sentience has gone far beyond the cognition, awareness and personality of all but the most advanced ancestries. In many ways, they have the scope and vision of a deity. |
