Tamer

"The Tamer is a steadfast adventurer bound by an unbreakable bond with a single, loyal animal companion. More than a pet, this creature is a lifelong ally—fighting, defending, and growing alongside the Tamer through every trial and triumph. Their connection is one of trust and harmony, forged through shared experience and instinct. In battle, they move as one—flanking foes, shielding one another, and striking with synchronized precision. Whether in wilderness or war, the Tamer and their companion are never alone, their strength lying not just in skill, but in the unspoken bond they share."

The Tamer uses an animal or beast in battle, of what species chosen by the player. This animal can be used in combat in two distinct ways, either in unison with the Tamer, acting all in one turn, or separated across the battlefield, acting in different turns. Synchronized Mode sees the player attacking alongside their companion all in one, dealing two hits per attack and rolling to inflict Bleeding. Split Mode, more tactical but less explosive, separates the Tamer and Tamed, allowing separate turns, movement speeds, action points, etc.

Abilities:

Animal Reflexes – You swap positions with your animal without triggering attacks of opportunity.

Animal Reflexes (Reaction) - If either Tamer or Tamed are hit with a critical hit, you may trigger this reaction to swap positions before anyone takes damage if convenient.

Instinctive Strike (Reaction) - If you, as the Tamer, perform a critical hit while separated, your companion may jump to the enemy struck to add to the damage, and unite back with you to deal bonus damage for one turn. You may split afterwards again if desired.

Natural Synergy (Passive) - If you and your animal are in immediate vicinity but not united, you gain increased defense each.

Beast Hybernation – You use an action point to command your animal to take cover anywhere on the battlefield (without a movement speed limit) and fall asleep for 2 turns, fully healing the animal after the 2 turns.

Unspoken Communication – You stop focusing on commanding your animal for 2 turns, losing control over it's turns but gaining heightened movement speed and attack strength yourself. Your animal will be unpredictable, it's actions may be well or poorly calculated.

Ultimate Ability – Bond Surge – You enter your ultimate bond with your companion, and gain two action points per turn separated. All of your attacks for 3 turns do not roll, and deal maximum damage. You may swap positions as a bonus turn, releasing a shockwave of damage each time.

Subclasses:

Tamer of the Heavy - Uses a larger, slower companion that inflicts more damage (Bear, Raptor, Crocodile, etc.)

Tamer of the Light - Uses a lighter, faster companion with more balanced stats (Wolf, Tiger, Fox, etc.)

Tamer Agressor - Uses a small pack of chained companions that are uncontrollable. May attack allies if within the radius
