Sea Elf
Also known as Eelmaids, Sea Elves are the ancient offspring of Elves and Merfolk who have long since become their own distinct race. Their forms are tall and graceful, with the pointed ears and elegant features of their elven lineage, yet their lower bodies end in long, sleek, eel-like tails that propel them effortlessly through the water. Unlike Merfolk, their scales are sparse, their skin smoother and more ethereal, lending them a unique, otherworldly beauty beneath the waves. More attuned to magic than their Merfolk kin, Sea Elves are deeply connected to the natural rhythms of the ocean, living in harmony with its flora, fauna, and currents. Though they are capable of surviving on land, they avoid the coasts and shorelines altogether, preferring the quiet sanctity of the deep where they believe the balance of the world is strongest. To encounter a Sea Elf near the surface is a rare and almost sacred event, for these beings belong wholly to the mysteries of the sea.
