Relic
“The world is steeped in secrets, its history buried beneath ruins, sunken ships, and time-worn relics. Ancient structures guard forgotten truths, and the ocean’s depths cradle the treasures of long-lost sailors. To most, these are opportunities for wealth — gold, fame, power. But to a Relic, they are far more: they are keys to the past, puzzles waiting to be solved. Driven by curiosity rather than greed, Relics navigate ruins with intellect and care, deciphering symbols, disarming traps, and unlocking the deeper truths hidden within artifacts that others see as mere objects. Where others see treasure, the Relic sees a story — and a calling“
The Relic, a treasure hunter class, specializes in high perception stars to solve puzzles and sense and disarm traps, as well as a treasure collecting mechanic. Instead of selling found artifacts, Relics and Relics only can solve hidden puzzles in artifacts and unlocks the spells and abilities they have to offer. Artifacts can have their puzzles solved at camp, and collected at your tent. You can hold three artifacts at a time on your person during your journeys, using their abilities in battle or other. They wield a whip that deals moderate damage and can pull enemies in. They can also pull objects in or traverse the environment with a high jump distance using the whip.
Abilities:
Whip Pull - You pull an enemy or object closer to you using your whip.
Binding Strike - You wrap your whip around an enemy, binding them for the next turn but limiting your own movement speed and negating the use of any whip actions for the next turn. Artifact abilities can still be used with your other hand.
Use Artifact - You use the ability of one of the three artifacts currently on your person. Examples of these artifacts are:
- Symbol of the Lost Moon - Inflicts Dark damage to target and all surrounding.
- Master of the Seas - Uses a Mar-Sangrian statue to summon the specter of an old navy master into battle.
- Apple of the Skies - Chooses a spot to release a shockwave of wind that either pushes all, or sucks them in with gravity.
Ruin Vision - You activate a trance-like focus that lets you resonate with an artifact you currently hold, seeing what best way to use that artifact in the circumstance.
Relic Resonance (Passive) - if two or more of your currently held artifacts are from the same nation, they will have raised stats while they are used.
Artifact Attunement (Reaction) - If any enemy uses a spell from a cursed item type weapon, you may use this reaction to either lesser it’s effect or completely suppress it.
Ultimate Ability - Tomb Raider - You merge all three of your currently held artifacts and are able to use all of their abilities in one turn, for 3 turns. During these 3 turns, you reveal all traps, weak environments, and other perception based things in the battlefield.
