Ravendenn

Ravendenn, one of the largest and most renowned nations of Moria, prides itself on being a rare sanctuary protected from the brutal, ever-present sun that scorches the surface of the planet. Nestled within a vast network of enormous subterranean caverns, its cities are ingeniously built atop the towering stalagmites that rise from the cave floors. Life thrives here in defiance of the harsh world above—natural ventilation systems keep air circulating, and circular sky-holes carved into the cavern ceilings allow beams of sunlight to filter through in moderation, giving warmth and photosynthesis without burning heat.

This unique geography has fostered a rich and stable civilization, one that has long been viewed as a place of safety.
However, with the growing instability of other regions across Moria, waves of refugees have fled toward Ravendenn in hopes of sanctuary. In response, the nation has reluctantly begun to seal its borders and bolster its defenses, transitioning from a beacon of openness to a fortress of caution. While its people remain proud and welcoming in spirit, the nation’s leaders now face the difficult balance between compassion and preservation.
