Mycelinn

The Mycelinn are a mysterious race of forest dwellers found throughout the Sisterworlds, known for their uncanny ability to heal and communicate without words. Resembling tall, humanoid mushrooms, their bodies are composed of soft, spongy tissue interwoven with living fungal cells capable of regenerating damage almost instantly. Wounds that would cripple other races are merely inconveniences to them, as their unique biology repairs itself through natural fungal growth, making traditional medicine nearly obsolete among their kind. Their minds, too, are connected in ways foreign to most mortals—the Mycelinn communicate through telepathy, their thoughts intertwined in a quiet mental network that allows them to share emotions, warnings, and ideas in perfect harmony. Conversations among them require no sound, only intent, creating an eerie sense of serenity to outsiders who wander into their groves.

Their society is divided into two subraces: the Gondol Mycelinn and the Mesicca Mycelinn. The Gondol are the larger and more human-like of the two, standing tall and bearing humanoid features veiled by faint fungal growths; they often act as guardians and emissaries to other races. The Mesicca, by contrast, are smaller and far more mushroom-like in appearance, with caps and stalks forming part of their bodies and glowing spores that drift gently from their skin. Though diminutive, they are deeply in tune with the earth and capable of controlling fungal ecosystems with precision, ensuring the balance of life within their ancient forests. Together, the Mycelinn embody both the mystery and resilience of nature itself—a people who heal, think, and live as one.
