Great Ayaki
Great Ayaki is a fallen kingdom, a forbidden land of ruin and overgrowth whose very existence now serves as a chilling monument to unchecked ambition. Once hailed as a marvel of innovation, its construction and rise into a technologically advanced powerhouse happened in mere years — an acceleration driven by brilliant, yet dangerously greedy founders who harnessed the sun itself to fuel their towering, sleek cities. However, their overreliance on solar energy pushed the boundaries of nature too far. The cities, gleaming and self-sufficient, became unstable as they began producing radiation-like solar flares, bursts of uncontrolled energy that swept through the urban landscape.
These flares disfigured the human body and mind, mutating the population into decaying, mindless husks — aggressive creatures now likened to the undead, cursed to wander endlessly through the remnants of their once-great civilization. Society collapsed in a matter of days. Within weeks, the entire nation was abandoned, left to rot and be reclaimed by nature. Vines crawl across shattered monoliths of glass and steel, trees sprout from collapsed skyways, and silence dominates where once a bustling utopia stood.
Though the land is perilous, some still choose to enter Great Ayaki. Drawn by solitude, exile, or a desire to escape the tightening grip of modern kingdoms, these survivors carve out small havens in the ruins, living off the grid in defiance of danger. For them, the husks are not monsters, but tragic warnings of what happens when brilliance outruns wisdom.
