Gravefleet Sea

The Gravefleet Sea is a nation built upon wreckage, thriving in the endless cycle of decay and reclamation. Spread across a sprawling archipelago, its people are bound to the crashing waters and the skeletal remains of Moria’s abandoned ships, boats, and rusting vehicles. Here, scavengers dive into the bones of half-sunken leviathans of wood and steel, hauling back precious materials to be reforged into the lifeblood of the nation. Every hull stripped, every bolt salvaged, and every scrap of metal dragged ashore serves not only personal profit but also the greater economy, with scavengers required to surrender a portion of their earnings to the ruling body. In this way, the Gravefleet sustains itself—feeding off the carcasses of forgotten machines and drawing power from the rust, salt, and desperation of its people.

Yet prosperity comes with peril. The waters of the Gravefleet teem with predators, the most dreaded among them the Sirens, who haunt the reefs and shoals where wrecks most often drift. Drawn by the thrashing of scavengers and the scent of blood in the tide, they hunt the unwary with song and fang alike, their presence making every dive into the wreckage a gamble with death. Many scavengers never return, claimed by the deep or dragged screaming into its black waters, yet still the people endure. For in this archipelago, risk is a constant companion, and those who live upon the Gravefleet Sea accept that fortune can only be won by daring the hunger of both ocean and monster.
