Glimmerpoint Prairie

Glimmerpoint Prairie is a vast and desolate stretch of sandy expanse lying between two continents, acting as a natural border and a place of great danger. Once a thriving path for travel and trade, the region was shattered by a historical catastrophe — an experiment gone wrong that ruptured a deep-seated pocket of raw Aetherdiesel. The explosion unleashed an immense surge of magical energy, triggering a superstorm of black clouds, roaring winds, and endless lightning that threatened to engulf the entire world eventually. In a desperate act to stop the destruction, a revered group of Time Mages gave their lives to cast a powerful spell, freezing the storm in time and trapping the chaos mid-motion.

Now, the prairie remains locked beneath a suspended canopy of black clouds, their motion halted, yet still rumbling with danger. Frozen bolts of lightning hang mid-strike across the skies and land, lighting up the sands in strange and beautiful ways. However, due to flaws in the spell, lightning still strikes randomly, making the land treacherous and unpredictable. Though deadly, the prairie draws travelers, scavengers, and scholars alike—those willing to risk everything to cross between continents.
