Fire

The Fire Affinity within the Arcana governs the primal force of flame, enabling the casting of spells that ignite, sear, and consume all in their path. It is a magic of heat, intensity, and raw power, wielded most commonly by Red Mages, who harness its destructive glory almost exclusively in the heat of battle. But beyond the blaze lies deeper meaning — for Fire is not only about burning, but about destruction as a force of renewal, and perseverance through adversity.

Its sub-affinities reflect these layered traits, such as the Acid Affinity, which embodies a merciless and relentless nature — a corrosive force that offers no compassion, only inevitability. In the Arcana, Fire stands as both destroyer and survivor — a symbol of chaos, but also of strength through endurance.

Sub-Affinities:

Acid - A corrosive liquid that eats mainly at flesh, but also at many non-resistant materials. Acid will deal damage over time and can be washed away only by water. Aside from flesh, it can also affect wood and cloth objects.

Liquid Gold - A melted form of gold that can severely burn, but must be conjured by magically melting existing gold and wealth. Those attacked by liquid gold will be Gold-Stained for a while, distracting those obsessed with greed or with an eye for shiny things.

Ash - The remains of burned corpses, who magically channels itself to carry their skills and experience with them. When used magically, Ashes carry minor memories of experience, and can be used to cause others to forget their own experiences, replacing them with the past owner of these ashes.
