"For a warrior, few fears cut deeper than being separated from their comrades, uncertain of their fate in the chaos of battle. The Exiler weaponizes that fear. Masters of banishment magic, Exilers specialize in forcibly teleporting foes into a realm of terror — a twisted, arcane dimension where the banished must endure trials of fear and strength before clawing their way back. It is a dangerous gamble; enemies may return stronger, angrier, and changed. But the Exiler relies on the brief advantage their absence brings — a momentary thinning of enemy ranks, just enough to tip the battle’s balance."

The Exiler uses banishment magic to banish enemies temporarily into a separate dimension. As the Exiler banishes, they unlock the ability to summon a specter from the missing aether of the banished, growing an army of specters that will fight on their side. Although quickly overpowering, the enemies that the Exiler banish return unharmed and stronger, providing more of a challenge. They are best at creating windows of opportunities where the strongest enemies on the battlefield disappear for a few turns, making your ranks rise at the same time. Specters cannot be controlled and attack on their own.

Abilities:

Banishment – You roll to banish an enemy to the Exiled Realm for one turn, creating a specter to fight by your side at the same time. The enemy will return with buffed stats. Specter will roll to vanish when the enemy returns, or remain for 3 more turns.

Banishment Mark – You mark an enemy to roll to be banished to the Exiled Realm for 1 turn, 1 turn from now. When banished, this enemy will create a stronger Specter that will remain for 3 turns despite the enemy returning.

Exile Surge (Reaction) - When an enemy is banished, you may trigger this reaction to cause an implosion-like surge on the enemy being banished, dealing damage to and pulling in creatures in a medium radius. If an enemy is pulled to the immediate vicinity of the enemy being banished, they will also be banished, with no max number of banished by the surge. Specters will be summoned accordingly.

Echo Specters – You turn all existing Specters invisible, granting Surprise on the enemies they attack and adding a stealth bonus to the damage.

Zone of No Return – You cast a large bubble upon the battlefield. One turn later, any inside the bubble will be banished. The bubble will remain for 5 turns, and any who enter will be banished.

Retributive Attack – You command all Specters currently on the battlefield to instantly attack the enemies they were summoned from by returning to their bodies, then disappear.

Ultimate Ability – The Exiled Realm – You enter the Exiled Realm yourself for 2 turns, pulling in 4 chosen enemies with you. In the realm, you and the four specters of their bodies face off. The 4 enemies are weakened and have Fear. After returning, your health completely regenerates.
