Encyclocia

Encyclocia is a land steeped in the echoes of ancient history. Along its jagged coastline lie vast cave networks, where one of the earliest civilizations of Lucis once thrived in secret, hidden from predators and rival kingdoms. These early settlers, brilliant and cautious, built sprawling subterranean cities deep within the stone, shielded from the chaos of the surface world.
To protect themselves from the relentless tempests and coastal floods that battered the land above, they harnessed a unique form of storm magic — one that could capture and contain the fury of the skies within enormous glass-like enclosures. But as the storms above gradually weakened and the rains ceased, the stone ceilings of the caves began to dry and fracture. Cracks spread like veins, until sudden collapses brought down colossal slabs of rock upon the cities below. The lingering storms surged in through the breaches, flooding what remained. The great civilization of Encyclocia was lost — crushed and drowned in the ruins of its own sanctuary.
Now, the region stands quiet and reverent, populated not by citizens, but by monks and magi who dwell among the shattered remnants. They treat the land as sacred — a place for the solemn practice of magic, a monument to caution, and a reminder of the rise and fall of those who came before.
