Doomseeker
"Of all organs, the human heart holds the greatest significance — the source of life, rhythm, and vitality. Without it, the body fails; yet no other organ commands such absolute authority. It is no surprise, then, that the heart holds immense magical importance. Within its constant beat lies a wellspring of concentrated aether, the purest essence of living magic. The Doomseeker exists to harvest that power. Through ritual sacrifice, they absorb the full force of a heart’s aether, gaining strength and dark potential at the vile cost of another’s life. Their path is one of corruption and power — a grim reminder that even life’s most sacred core can be twisted into a weapon."
The Doomseeker is one specializing in an ancient, tribal, and dark art of harvesting human hearts to absorb their aether and gain fleeting, yet absurd amounts of power. They use an imaginary Scythe created by magic, the result of harvesting hearts. One heart must be harvested in order for this scythe to manifest, making the Doomseeker near useless in battle until he can at least collect one heart and turn it into the Scythe. Each heart collected after this only strengthens the Doomseeker, making him an absolute powerhouse until the battle ends and the power is reset. Hearts must be collected from corpses in the battlefield that own a heart.
Abilities:
Doom Harvest – You use a bonus action to rip the heart from a corpse, absorbing it onto your Arcana and increasing your power and health.
Living Harvest – You use a bonus action to roll to rip the heart from a living creature that is at critical health. Hearts collected with Living Harvest count as two hearts.
Reaper's Bounty – You teleport to a corpse on the battlefield that has been dead for at most 2 turns. You then roll to harvest it's heart in the same action.
Reaper's Bounty (Reaction) - If an enemy is killed nearby, you may trigger this reaction, triggering Reaper's Bounty on that enemy.
Comrade Sacrifice – You absorb power from the heart of any of your allies, causing them to take moderate damage but gaining the power of an additional heart for two turns.
Heart Surge – Instead of harvesting a corpse's heart, you magically choose a spot on the battlefield to cause it to pulse in a way that makes it burst, instilling Fear in enemies in a medium radius.
Forgiveness – If past 5 harvested Hearts, you may sacrifice them all to grant a free and automatic revival if KOd for the rest of the battle, but you go back to having no power.
Ultimate Ability – Heartsunder – You target all corpses in the battlefield and absorb the entirety of the corpses instead of just the hearts, gaining immense power. This leaves behind specters of the corpses absorbed that will attack enemies for the next 3 turns.
